Frequently Asked Questions
These are the questions guests ask most often before booking a charter with Reel Paradise Charters. If your group has something specific in mind, contact us and we will help you sort it out.
- Private and shared trips
- Seakeeper equipped
- Weather policy
- What to bring
Are all of your charters private?
Most of our trips are private for your group only. We also offer a shared Dry Tortugas seat option at $700 per seat, so the site clearly distinguishes private and shared trips.
How many guests can come?
Private charters are currently built around groups of up to 12 guests.
Do you have a booking engine?
Yes. The site routes guests to FareHarbor when they are ready to book.
What should we bring?
Bring drinks, snacks, sunscreen, towels, sunglasses, and any personal items your group wants for the day. A light layer is a good idea if you run cold on the ride.
Do you provide a cooler and ice?
Yes. That is part of the standard trip setup.
Can we play our own music?
Yes. A Bluetooth sound system is part of the onboard setup and guests can play their own music.
Does the boat have Seakeeper stabilization?
Yes. The Reel Paradise is equipped with a Seakeeper system, which is designed to reduce side-to-side roll and help the ride feel more stable both underway and while the boat is stopped.
Is fuel included?
Fuel terms depend on the trip. Most private trips list fuel as paid separately, while the shared Dry Tortugas seat price currently includes fuel.
Do you provide snorkel gear?
Yes. Snorkel gear is available when requested on snorkeling-capable trips.
Are fishing licenses included?
No. Fishing licenses should be purchased before trips where fishing is part of the plan.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If weather conditions are unsafe, we offer a full refund or reschedule. For Dry Tortugas trips, if weather does not permit safe offshore travel, the trip will be changed to a local Key West charter and a partial refund will be issued. If you need to cancel for any other reason, we ask for at least 72 hours' notice for a full refund.
Where do we leave from?
Trips are planned around Key West and Stock Island departure. The current public departure reference is Ocean's Edge Marina, 5950 Peninsular Ave, Slip #612, Key West, FL 33040.
